Morphe 35O

This palette is so damn difficult to get! I know people that have gotten so sick of waiting for it to come back in stock they have ordered it from America, doing it that way means you pay a fortune in shipping and customs though. I luckily managed to get my hands on it through beauty bay when it came back in stock after being on a waiting list for 2 years (damn always being at work when its released) but I finally managed to get my hand on it! But was it worth my wait?

The packaging itself is basic at best. The plastic feels so cheap I was terrified that i was going to break it. The slightest force and the lid bends so badly, which isn't ideal when it has a very secure catch. I feel every time I open the lid I'm going to break it. There is no mirror in the palette and no brush. Which in this case isn't a bad thing, the mirror would make me more wary of breaking it and I hardly ever use the brushes that come in palettes anyway. One of my issues with this palette is that the colours don't have names meaning I have lists of things like row 1 shadow 2 is a nice highlight which means remembering what shadows make nice looks is difficult.
Outer packaging

This review is going to be a longer one just because there is 35 shades so you may want a coffee. I'll break it down column by column.

column 1- describing shades top to bottom

The first shade doesn't show up on my ghostly skin, as it is literally my skin colour. Its a matte off white. This shades works well to set down any primer you have on the eye if you are a pale girl like myself but apart from that I hardly use it.

Just peaking out on my hand there is the next shade. This shade is slightly too dark for me to use as a base shade but if you have a darker skin tone would probably work lovely as a base. However I use it as a transition shade mostly, especially if I am going for more of a everyday look.
Shade three is warm toned taupe, a lovely blending colour.
The fourth shade is a brown shade with a shimmer to it. This is a shade I know I have many dupes for in my collection, though it works very well in this palette.
The fifth shade is another shade I normally only use on days I'm doing more of an everyday look but is nice to work with none the less.
column 2- describing shades top to bottom
Shade one on this row is a beige satin. This colour pulls beautifully on my skin giving just a faint shine and colour which makes it pretty for an easy all over the lid shade.
It isn't photographed very well, and for that I apologise but the next shade is a lovely almost duo-chrome that changed from pink and peach and is stunning.

Shade three is the first cool toned shadow in the palette and I love that you have the option of both cool and warm tones making the palette more versatile.
Shade four is a metallic golden dark brown. It has looser formula so expect some fall out but the amazing shine, colour and pigmentation is well worth the slight mess.
Shade five is another lovely crease shade, although in the pan it looks very glittery you can see in the swatch the shimmers all but disappear.

column 3- describing shades top to bottom
The first colour on this row is just slightly darker than the first shade of the previous row. Again this makes a lovely all over lid or highlight shade.
The second shade is a light gold pearlescent shade and this is again beautiful.
The third shade is a cool toned brown and makes a lovely basic eye look when paired with the third shadow shown in the column above.
Forth shade is a cool toned matte brown and I use this normally to darken up the outer V, although the pigmentation is slightly lacking in this one (it doesn't look it in the swatch annoyingly).
The fifth shade is very dark and is something I normally only use along the lash line to add a bit of definition.

column 4 - describing shades top to bottom

The first colour in this row is a pearlescent copper shade that pulls slightly orange. This shade is beautiful to apply.
The second shade is a light peach taupe and is a lovely addition to the palette as it is lovely slight warm tone crease shade I've found.
Third shade on this row is a warm toned red brown, and this has amazing pigmentation, you can see in the swatch is so uniformed.
The forth shade is a warm dark brown matte and works well for smoking out any look.
The fifth shadow is lovely to layer or to blend out the darker shadows in a smokey look.

column 5- describing shades top to bottom
The first shade in this section is a matte taupe with an orange undertone which is an amazing warm transition shade.
The second shade is a matte bright orange shade, this works so well with the darker oranges in the palette adding just that little bit of brightness.
I love this third shade! It is a lovely outer third colour to add something to a look whilst still darkening.
The forth shade is a pearlescent cooper-brown, another lovely shade.
I would say this fifth might be the darkest shade in the palette, although not a black which is normally something I look for in a palette this more than makes up for it. The dark brown allows to make a very smokey look but without the harshness that a black sometimes creates.
column 6 - describing shades top to bottom
The first shade is a slight mustard matte which is a good transition shade or to buff out other shades.
The second shade is a light brown which leans very warm and looks amazing with the matte orange shades in the palette.
Third shade is something special. This is a metallic pink with peach tones, which is so metallic its almost like a pressed pigment. This is a statement eyeshadow and its one of my favourites in the palette.
The forth shade is a copper brown with a pearlescent element and makes a beautiful out edge colour in a brown spot light look.
Fifth is a pearlescent orange with a red tone and this is stunning despite it not looking like much in the pan.

column 7 - describing shades top to bottom
This is a beautiful matte orange shade which can be used anywhere in a look I have found.
The second shade is a orange matte but that's more muted which makes it easier to use in every day looks to just add some warmth. The third shade is another matte orange in the palette.
Forth shade is a lighter out V colour for myself on more natural looking days. Although it does have shimmer running through it is no where near as glittery as other shades in the palette making it a lovely crease shade.
This final shade is my favourite. I have nothing like this and every time I open the palette and want to wear this colour all over my face. It is incredibly reflective and just look at that swatch! As with the other highly reflective shades in the palette the fallout is real but it is well well worth it.

I bought this palette with very high expectations and I was not disappointed. There is not one shade that I don't use or I don't feel fits in the palette. Despite the flimsy packaging and the lack of shade names this can be understood when you look at the price. It retails from cult beauty for £23.50 which is less than 70p a shadow. I would suggest buying from Cult beauty or beauty Bay if you are from the UK though otherwise the shipping costs will be more than the palette. If you can get your hand on this the next time it comes out I would pick it up though. Unless you never use warms tones.... it might be a bit of a waste then.

You can get the palette here.

Till next time...
Love Kim x
