ELF hydrating bubble mask

ELF (or Eyes, Lips, Face) has recently just come back to the UK. Which I took to be good news and ordered some of almost immediately, based on reviews from the likes of RachLoves, Kathleenlights and many more non-UK based youtubers. One thing that kept popping up was the hydrating bubble mask by the brand, now most people just seemed to buy this for the novelty idea but they started using it quite frequently. So when I placed my ELF order and it just so happened I had to spend some more money to get free-shipping guess what I put in my basket?
Outer packaging

You get 50g of product in the jar which is a fair size for a mask, and the jar is a lovely frosted plastic packaging. The only slight strange section is the way the product come out. The top of the jar has a almost white button with a hole in and when you press it down the product comes out of the hole in the centre. Now this keeps the product fresh which is important, but it means that I am wasting a lot of product across the button top when I am trying to pick it up.

Jar the product comes in
When it very first comes out it a gel like texture that is milky white in colour but almost immediately starts to foam up. You have to work very quickly to get the product from the top of the packaging to the face before it starts to bubble though, meaning that the layer I put onto my face was so uneven because once it has started to foam is impossible to spread around the face. The scent of this is nice though as it is very fresh. However my main issue with this product was the feeling of the bubbling. I read many reviews of this product before I purchased it and most said that the product felt itchy around the nose... its not just itchy around the nose. It's itchy everywhere, this is the strangest feeling mask ever, it feels slightly like you have pins and needles in your entire face. My friend who purchased this at the same time as me actually can not use the product because she dislikes the feeling so much.

About as foamy as the product got on me
As for actual results my face did feel very refreshed, soft and hydrated, although a bit sticky but this disappeared as soon as I applied some moisturiser (which is says to in the instructions). I think that this is fun to do and would be good on a group night in. However its a bit pricey for what it is. Do bear in mind that strange feelings though as its a lot of money to spend on something to use once.

You can get the product for £17 here

Till next time...
Love Kim x
