Makeup Revolution Beyond Flawless eyeshadow palette

I love the brand Makeup revolution and my love for it all started with this palette when a lovely girl from work bought me it for my birthday and I instantly fell in love with it. Excuse the photos they were not taken when I first received the palette and so it looks a little beaten up.

The palette contains 32 shadows in a mix of finishes and cost a whole £8. The outer cardboard box is a metallic gold whilst the actual packaging is a sleek black plastic with a nice secure shut (that has a very satisfying click) and a big mirror on the inner portion of the palette. All shade names are printed on a plastic sheet inside the casing. The colours are placed into colour families in columns (as seen in the picture below) and let the switching commence!
The first column of this palette is the least impressive, it contains some very light shades that hardly show up on my super pale complexion and the pigmentation of these isn't great. The colour Tawny makes quite a nice crease colour though if you are going for a very minimal makeup look but just wanted something in your crease to add a bit of dimension.
First column from top to bottom - flawless, dove (this is scary close to my actual skin colour), sandstone and tawny
The second colour is where the quality really starts to kick in, these four shades are shimmery and have great pigmentation, the shade bronze is beautiful .
second row from top to bottom - light caramel, chestnut, bronze and ground brown
Column three, four and five should all be linked together in my opinion because they look incredibly similar to the urban decay naked 3 palette with the rosey pink shades. The shade spice is beautiful with that and pug being probably my most used shades in the palette.
Column three from top to bottom - papaya, zorba, autumn, toasty
column four from top to bottom - bare pink, pug, spice and immaculate
row five from top to bottom - Sand dune, Brunette, Wholemeal, Teddy

As we move into row 6 we start to get to the slightly cooler shades with this row making a beautiful smokey eye look with mineral in the inner corner, cookie dough all over the lid, sepia in the crease and cocoa on the outer corner.
row six top to bottom - mineral, cookie dough, sepia and cocoa
The last two columns are by far the darkest of the set, as to be expected, and again these are lovely shades, the darkest two matte colours can come off a little patchy when swatched but they always seem to perform well on my eyes.
row seven top to bottom - expresso, chocolate, muddy, bistre
row eight from top to bottom - warm grey, stone grey, nightfall, blackest
Overall I really like this palette and back when I didn't own a lot of eyeshadow palettes this was my go to, because of the way the colours are set out you know what will go nice with what, most shades are pigmented and easy to blend. This palette reminds me quite a bit of urban decays naked 1 and 3 it has the same sort of shades combining both the bronze neutrals and rosey neutrals to create the ability to create so many amazing eye looks for so many occasions for only £8.

The Palette is available here

Until next time...
Love Kim x
