January and February's birchbox

My blogging has been a little flaky lately and I'm sorry, I went back to Uni and life just got on top of me. But anyway today my February birchbox came and I was so excited with it I couldn't not do this post so I interrupt this normal broadcasting to bring you this multi birchbox post.
The outer packaging of both birchboxes
Starting with the January boxes, this box had the theme of inspiring people to have the BEST.YEAR.EVER and it was infused with pintrest. The box seemed to contain a mixture of makeup and other beauty products it was a very nice mixture of products.
I was super excited when I opened the box and spotted the benefit 'They're real" tinted primer. Now this product is a brown shade and it means that you can wear it alone as a natural looking mascara or you can let them dry and then layer your usual mascara over the top for a super dramatic look. It's waterproof and you can also wear it as a natural mascara and then layer it over later on for a more over the top look at night. Now it should be £18.50 for a full size tube and it's something I'm not sure I will repurchase simply because of the price, its not something that I need in my life but this has lead to me falling in love with benefit mascaras and me buying a tube of roller lash.

I was not overly excited when  saw this as water lining is something I can't do because of how much my eyes water on an every day basis, I did however try it on my brow bone which apparently its other use and I did quite like it but it's not something I will be buying again cause I simply just won't use it enough, and I got a full size product so.

Now onto the cleaning products, Caudalie Fleur de Vigne Shower Gel was lovely but nothing to shout out about, it's a shower gel, one that smells kinds nice and washes me, as I said nothing amazingly out of this world. it should have been £9 but I'll probably not repurchase but simply because unless its moisturising shower cream or special in some other way I'll probably not buy the same one over and over.

Birchbox also sent me some parlour moisturising and repairing shampoo and conditioner, now straight out I must say I would have liked more conditioner cause I have a lot of hair, I did like this but just like with the shower gel it was nothing special and it was more than what I bought my tigi bed head for (which there will be a review of ) so I will probably not buy again.

I love this next product, totally love it but for £27 if my mother ever found out she'd kill me, it was a lovely cleansing water, it smelt amazing it worked well, it seemed to melt away the makeup but it is £27! I just bought a new cleansing water from TK max today for £2.99.

Although I said I wouldn't buy any of these I did love them all, it's just simply that they were too expensive and I'm too much of a cheapskate at heart.

Now the February box was cute looking and then I opened it and thought that it was amazing, out of three I have had this was definitely the most impressive.
I mean look at it, its so amazing that I don't know what to start with really.

The brush is from spectrum and its so damn pretty, with the chunky pink handle and the ombre bristles it is by far the prettiest brush I own. It's a tapered powder brush and its just so lovely and easy to work with, the bristles are soft on the skin but because they are packed in quite think they keep there shape, it could be used to so many different ways, finishing powder, blusher, highlighter and with the lovely thin tip it can get in the tiniest bits and its just love. This brush should have been £7.99 and I can see myself buying more brushes from this company.

Now in this box we got a piece of the birchbox in house makeup brand. it's from LOC and its a eyeshadow stick in the colour champagne problems, and this thing is lovely, its so shiny and metallic and it's just lovely. It's £8 and sure I'll buy another one in the other colour which is more of a bronze one.

Swatches with flash

Ole Henriksen is a brand I have never heard of and this is another product that I love but I will never purchase just because a fell size one is £47! I'm far too cheap for that, but I love this little tester. Its called a truth serum collagen booster and using vitamin C it smooths fine lines plumps and protects the skin. It smells amazing and although it goes on like an oil it soaks in so fast. I love it and will be so sad when it's gone.

Cochine water hyacinth & lime blossom hand and body lotion it should be £19 and I can see me buying this too. It smells good and uses shea beauty and aloe vera is used to moisturise, this will be going in my everyday makeup bag, I have dry hands and arms and it means I could use the same product in two different area in an everyday capacity.

Now I let out a little scream of happiness when I saw this product, frat boy from The Balm is something I have been toying with idea of buying for so long and I was not disappointed. its a lovely rosey blush without it being too pink, with me being super pale its hard to find a nice blush on my complexion but I love this one. its so pigmented, as is everything from The Balm I have used so far. it's £15.50 normally but the pan it comes in normally is quite big and once this little one runs out I am very likely to re-buy.

One more thing did come in the box but I vent' used it yet and that was a make up remover from Derm Eyes but I haven't used it yet so can't comment on it.
As I said this is a best birchbox so far, so lets just hope that March upholds the standards.
