Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation

I've had this product for a few weeks now, I actually ran out on release day and bought it, fighting through people and the lack of supplies my local branch had to finally get my hands on this product and I knew from the moment that I heard about it I wanted it. All the greatness of the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation but with better coverage and waterproof? I was sold just from that.

Any of my UK readers will know that although its officially Autumn here, or fall for my American readers, the weather is still red hot. Its October and there is still people still around in shorts and flip flops so the weather is still as hot and sticky as it was in the summer months which makes finding a foundation that stays in place all day no matter what I am doing was a challenge to say the least. So this seemed to get released at the perfect time for me. I've been testing this product for a good few weeks now so I'd like to think I have a good idea of the formula and stuff so lets jump straight in.

packaging on the bottle

The foundation is available in 24 shades and comes in a lovely yet edgy looking gunmetal barrel with a shattered glass cut out that displays the shade though. The bottle hold 1 oz of product and will cost you £27 which is the same amount as the Naked Skin foundation from the brand but you are getting 25% more pigment in this product so you need much less of it to get a coverage. The coverage is immense and has been compared to the likes of the Kat Von D lock-it foundation which will be my next foundation purchase I think. I found that it covered imperfections flawlessly by yet still felt very lightweight on the skin.
Outer packaging

The formula of this does very much 'wear all night' I've been working in a retail store with no air con where the heat is sweltering and this baby is staying in place, there is no fading off, no disappering and it does seem to help oil control my skin which is very interesting. Now I have read lots of reviews that says this is great for people with dry skin but I disagree. If you have slightly dry skin then you could probably get away with it but if you have an dry and flakey patches on the skin I would stay away from this or at least prep your skin very well. I had a dry patch on the right hand side of my face and I found that unless I exfloated the heck out of it and applyed the most hydrating primer I owned it stuck it to it horribly but that may just me and my strange texture at the moment. It also doesn't dry to a powder finish nor a velvet one but does adhere to the skin very well and you guys will need a good oil based cleanser to get this off.

The shade I bought
I actually really liked this foundation, it doesn't adhere to dry areas as long as you prep well, whilst the foundation does dry down to a matte finish it is more like a demi-matte finish that wears very well and feel comfortable on the skin.

You can buy the product here.

Until next time...
Love Kim x
