Loreal True Match Foundation

Despite my ever growing collection of high end foundations I always like to keep a drugstore one on hand too, for if I am just food shopping or running erands so that I don’t feel like I am wasting my expensive products (it can’t be just me that does this right?) but anyway lets get into this.

Outer packaging

The foundation comes in 21 different shades and I of course just went for the palest one in 1 Rose Ivory Which surprisingly for a drugstore foundation actually works really well with my skin tone and I was super impressed by that alone, its often that I find a drugstore foundation that’s pale enough for me.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle that look lovely and sleek with its silver top to accent it, I would go go as far as to say it feels slightly high end in packaging… until you use it. The silver pump gets covered in foundation and once its in the lid it just looks worse, now I have tried to be careful with this and not get it all over the pump but it just seems to happen that way. It does however have a pump, I know I’ve already mentioned it, but that in itself is a win. I have tried to use foundations that don’t and I know I am far too clumsy for that life. The pump gives out a good amout of product too, I usually use one pump for my whole face and then go in with a second if I find my skin is particularly bad that day.

The foundation goes on quite smoothly and blends in so well I have found myself reaching for it more and more, even on days where I could justify using my more expensive foundations I still end up going for this. The finish is very nice too, drying to a satin finish that gives  bit of radiance to the skin but not that greasy glow that I have had with other foundation.

The lasting power on this stuff is great too, it lasts all day, even through full days of me sweating at work which is a win. The only thing that disappointed my slight is that when my skin got really dry (still trying to fix this, I’ll keep you all updated) and  my skin went all ichy and flakey the foundation did not sit over it well at all to the point where I had to take it all off but Its not a major deal breaker but if you do have major dry pathes on your face this stuff might not be great.

I can honestly say though I have tried so many drugstore foundations and this is my favourite by far, the product is amazing and I can’t fault it at all for the price of £7.99.

The product is available here

Until next time…

Love Kim X
