The Balm nudetude eyeshadow palette

Sorry for the slight delay in posting I have been super ill this week and just couldn't bring myself to write. But this review is all about The balm's Nudetude palette, which I think was the first ever non-drugstore palette I bought.
outer packaging

Nudetude was the first of the palettes from The Balm that they still make I believe, there is now two more palettes in this range, although both are very warm toned where as this one has both warm and cool toned shades.

Inside the palette
The packaging is a super cute vintage looking cardboard  surround, but it means that the palette is slim so it's easy to store. You get 12 eyeshadows and a shadow/liner brush but I don't rate the brush in all honesty.

I will go through the shadows two at a time and show you swatches.

Shades swatched (top to bottom: Sassy and Snobby)
Sassy is a frosted white shade that looks lovely on the inner corner if you are a pale girl like myself.
Snobby comes out as a yellow tone but looks very peachy in the pan, and again has a frosted finish.

Shades swatched (top to bottom: Stubborn and Standoffish)
Stubborn is a shimmery baby pink despite looking nothing like that on this swatch for some reason.
Standoffish is a peachy champagne colour.

Shades swatched (top to bottom: Selfish and Sultry)

Selfish is a lovely shade, it comes off as a frosted taupe almost, with hints of brown and grey.
Sultry is a warm brown and blends wonderfully.
Shades swatched (top to bottom: Sophisticated and Seductive)

Sophisticated is a dark brown with bronze shimmer in it and is a lovely shade.
Seductive is a warm golden brown/bronze with a pearl finish

Shades swatched (top to bottom: Sexy and Silly)

Sexy is a Burgundy colour that is incredibly pigmented for a matte shade.
Silly is a brown with almost a red tint that has bits of copper sparkle in it and is by far the most disappointing shade in the palette as the pigmentation of this is very sheer.
Shades swatched (top to bottom: Serious and Sleek)
Serious is a black with a matte finish that honestly isn't all that black and comes out quite patchy on me (as you can see in the swatch)
Sleek is a black/brown and is a wonderful shade. Its dark enough to use as an eyeliner or to darken the outer V and blends well.

This is a good palette don't get me wrong. I just don't reach for it as much as my others. My Urban decay naked palette gets much more use because its easy to create an all round look with just that palette where with this one I feel like I have to seriously sit down and plan out what I am putting where to make a good look with this.
So I'm on the fence with this one really... anyone else own this?

You can buy the palette here for £31.99

Until next time...

Love Kim  X
