Butter London 'No more waity, Katie'

It's been a while since I've done a nail post and I'm sorry but my nails have been in such a state lately I've had no colour on them for nearly 2 months so I could concentrate on getting them healthy again, or at least trying my best to.
I saw this polish in a TK Max and just simply had to get it, I did no googling(maybe I should have) , no swatch hunting and just got it and ran. I picked it up for around £4.99 but it retails for about £12.

Now after doing a bit of googling on the way home I started to wish I'd never picked up the polish, every review I read was about how bad the formula was, so when it finally came to putting it onto my nails I was a little terrified. The formula was a little sheer but application was fine, it went on quite uniform and there was no patchyness. I started to think maybe I had a bottle that was good out of a bad batch. The colour of the polish is beautiful in my opinion but isn't to everyones tastes, its a grey with a hint of purple with lilac glitter in it, it looked beautiful on my very pale complexion.

However after a day of wear it all started to fall apart and my love affair ended. After day one I had two tiny chips in my left hand index and middle finger, I thought thats fine, I'd done an awful lot of heavy lifting and I was expecting a few chips. But I woke up at the beginning of day two and well... this was my nails

Look at the state of that! This polish is meant to be £12 and I have Barry M polishes that hold up better than that. So the love I had very swiftly ended and the polish had to be removed which was also a nightmare because of the glitter. It took sitting with my fingers wrapped in cotton wool that had been soaked in acetone to get it off. So it chips really easy but hates to come off?

All in all this polish was a total bust, which makes me really upset because as I said I loved the colour and it is so unusual that I don't think I'll find anything like it again but this polish could only really be used for a one night only event that didn't really involve doing anything, as the longevity just makes it look messy on the nails which is not something you want the look of.

The polish can be picked up here.

Until next time...
Love Kim x
