Urban Decay Brow Box

In the same trip to debenhams that I bought the Naked Concealer I also bought their revamped brow box in the shade brown sugar, I mentioned in that post that it was buy two items and get a makeup look or lesson done free. Now when I went in I was actually looking for something for my brows, as I had just had them waxed and tinted at benefit and after looking at them in mirror knew that my NYX eyebrow pomade was going to be totally the wrong colour. The girl in the Sunderland branch, I think her name was Kayleigh, was amazing, she was very helpful and I didn't feel like she was just pushing me to buy a product for the sake of it.

I had asked for the Brow beater pencil after hearing good reviews of it online but she told me that with me having quite a thick brow shape even when they were waxed the pencil would not last very long at all and so she pointed me in the direction of this little box.
Now this set me back £19.50 which at the time made me want to cry but I was assured by the lovely sales assistant that it would last me forever, I must say I have used it every day for the past two weeks and I've hardly made a dint so I can see that being true.
The packaging is kick ass in true urban decay style but I must say I love it, whilst being a little thick (sorry it doesn't show in this angle) the box its self is quite small which is amazing for the amount in it.
The box is two tiered with a little mirror in the top of both.
The top tier hold two powder shadows that can be mixed together to create your own custom shade of powder or you can just use them as they are which is what I do cause I'm too lazy at half seven to go mixing things to get the perfect shade. The big block at the bottom contains a colourless wax which is soft and easy to use, the wax just allows the powder to be kept in place (as well as any unruly hairs) and just adds longevity to whatever you put on your brows.
The bottom tier holds the tools you need to tame those brows, so it really is everything you need in one compact. It give you two tiny angled brushes, that despite the size I find easy to use and a pair of tiny tweezers that work but make picking out strays to be a little but more work that it needs to me. The mirror in this bottom section is also magnifying making plucking brows even easier. I do wish it had a baby spoolie brush in though as I like one when i do my brows but I think this kit is pretty fab for its size.
I find it keeps my brows in place all day, or at least the 8 hours I am out of the house.

Now as I was reading reviews and things for this product I found that not a lot of people are fully sure how to use the kit, some use powder on one brush and wax on another, some apply the wax first and some apply the powder first. Me being me, I just asked how to use it, the sales assistant ( I said she was helpful) took me through how to use it and demonstrated it to me on my brows so I could do it at home. She told me that she had used it a number of ways but the best one that she had found was to put wax on the brush and then immediately after dip it in the powder, just quickly and lightly to get some pigment on the brush. This I find, after trying every way I have come across, is the best way, it gives a nice even line that can be easily blended out with a spoolie and means that the powder doesn't end up half way across your face.
All in all I love this box and it is in my opinion well worth the money.
