NARS Versailles

TK Max came through again when in there the other day and I spotted this little beauty in the clearance section for £4 now it normally retails at £15 I think and from what I can tell its no longer available online from NARS but it could still be available online I'm not completely certain to be honest.
NARS is one of those brands that everyone seems to know, right up there with MAC and about the same price range so more of  medium range product. The bottle is square with a Matte black lid that has some slight damage to it which is why it was reduced.

Colour in the bottle
The colour is a lovely mix of gold and pearls. Its's very opaque for a pearly finish as well as I find nearly all of them in my collection to have a sheer quality but it was opaque on my nils after two coats. The colour when I look at it does actually remind me of the gold glistening halls of Versailles palace that I wandered round last summer so the inspiration is well named. I think this would look much better on someone with tanned skin unlike myself but I do still like the colour and is a nice change from the look of the golds I already have in my collection. Its also much less streaky than most pearly colours I own as well.
On my nails it looks okay, not great against my skin colour but wearable, this is just two coats with no top coat. My nails at the moment are a state though so I do apologise for that. The only small issue I have with this polish is that it seems to be the type to chip very easy, I only put this on last night before bed and it even managed to chip while I was asleep.
All in all though I do like this colour, it's unique in my collection and will make a lovely party nail, and for £4 it was simply a bargain.
